Dr. Lynn McPhearson's journey to holistic medicine began with a unique foundation: the discipline and holistic principles he learned through martial arts in the early 2000s.  This early influence ignited a passion for helping others, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Kinesiology from the University of South Florida in 2011.  Yet, Dr. McPhearson felt a deeper calling to make a more profound impact.

In 2011, he answered that call by enlisting in the United States Air Force Reserve as a medical technician.  It was during his training that he witnessed firsthand the power of acupuncture, observing a medical doctor successfully use it to treat military personnel.  This experience sparked a desire to explore holistic medicine more deeply, a path he pursued with dedication upon completing his military medical technician training.

Dr. McPhearson found his ideal training ground at the East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota, Florida. While continuing his service in the Air Force Reserve, he earned a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine.  His commitment to expanding his knowledge took him to China in 2016, where he spent several months immersed in the study of martial arts and medicine with the renowned Shaolin Monks.

From 2016 to 2019, Dr. McPhearson practiced clinically, honing his skills and experience.  He then answered the call to duty once again, deploying to Afghanistan as an Air Force Reservist.  Remarkably, he successfully advocated for the integration of his holistic medicine expertise into the combat environment, becoming one of the few, if not the only, Acupuncture Physicians authorized to practice acupuncture and dry needling in a combat-deployed setting.  He continued to serve on active duty until 2024.  Even during his service, Dr. McPhearson remained committed to his craft, maintaining his expertise through pro-bono work and continuous participation in advanced medical training programs.

Dr. McPhearson is also a Certified Neuropuncturist in the Neuropuncture Acupuncture System. This cutting-edge medical acupuncture system utilizes modern research and neuroscience to create powerful treatments that benefit a vast range of patients.

Now, with his active duty service complete, Dr. McPhearson has established Whole Health Holistic Medicine.  His practice is dedicated to providing holistic, research-based, and neuroscience-informed care.  Dr. McPhearson is passionate about helping patients alleviate pain, improve their daily quality of life, and empower them through health and wellness education.
